Jeddah Prep and Grammar seeks an enthusiastic, experienced and fully qualified Grammar school Arabic Teacher. Subject specialism is required up to Key Stage 5, A Level (or equivalent standard). Please clearly mention your subject specialism(s) and level of teaching ability. Familiarity with teaching Local Cultural Studies at KS3 is also desirable.

Prior experience of teaching the IGCSE First and Second Language Arabic course to pupils from the ages of 14 to 16 is essential. Previous employment in the UK or other International Schools following a British curriculum is also required.

About Jeddah Prep and Grammar School

The School was established in 1967 to serve the needs of the British and Dutch expatriate communities in Jeddah. Today, JPGS welcomes expatriate and Saudi Arabian families alike, with students from a wide range of nationalities whilst retaining a family and community atmosphere. The School is heavily oversubscribed with waiting lists in almost all year groups. Children in the Prep School follow the Cambridge Primary Programme with Checkpoint exams taken at the end of Year 6; whilst the Grammar School prepares pupils for Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) IGCSEs and International A Levels.

The School is located in the heart of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s most cosmopolitan and diverse city, where an ultra-modern cityscape lies close to the UNESCO old city of Al-Balad, a piece of old Arabia at its best. A degree where the title includes subject taught.

B. Ed, Bachelors with Teaching Qualification, PGCE or PGDE, UK Qualified Teacher Status or similar teaching qualification.

Proficient in Arabic, English.

Should hold a valid passport.
